Birmingham-Southern College organizes an annual 24-hour day of giving called Forward Ever Day. This event is simultaneously promoted to student groups, alumni, faculty, and staff. After implementing strict social distancing measures, the decision was made to introduce a new theme focusing on promoting and celebrating the campus as the outdoors. For the event design, I drew inspiration from WPA/National Park posters.
To capture the essence of the campaign, I created illustrations depicting various locations on campus. Additionally, I transformed the BSC panther mascot into an icon inspired by Smokey the Bear. This design became the theme of posters, postcards, social media posts, and the design of the fundraising website. The poster displayed below gained immense popularity and served as a delightful token of appreciation for select donors.
